We are all neurodiverse, meaning each of us has unique ways of thinking and processing information. Those with a diagnosis indicating that their brain processes information differently from the typical majority are considered neurodivergent.

If you are seeking a diagnosis to understand if you are neurodivergent, your first step is to talk to your GP. They can provide a referral to local services for an assessment. For children, assessments can often be conducted by a school psychologist.

In some cases, self-referrals to specific services may also be an option. These services offer various types of support to help you navigate your journey.

Remember, taking care of yourself is essential. High stress levels and poor sleep can negatively affect your mental performance, so prioritising your well-being is key.
